Spaghetti with Clams

Simple but very tasty dish

Ingredients for 5 people:
  • 1 kg of clams
  • 500 g of spaghetti
  • pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • fine salt
  • parsley
  • extra virgin olive oil

Preparation:

The first part concerns the cleaning of clams.
Take a bowl, fill it with water and salt and let the clams soak for 2 hours to clean it.
At the end of the two hours, rinse several times in running water.
Remove the broken clams.
At this point take a pan, add a little oil and a clove of garlic.
Put the clams in the pan and cover with a lid, over high heat for a few minutes that the clams will cook.
Note that clams are cooked by the fact that they will open.
When the fire is off, you have to discard the garlic and the clams closed.
Now cook the pasta in a pot with water.
Drain the pasta and pour into the pan of clams.
Mix everything over low heat, add the pepper if desired and when it is all mixed serve the dish on the table.
